Mike Russell, Vice President of Strategic Planning
As Vice President of Strategic Planning for WDTS, Mike is responsible for keeping projects on task and disseminating information and ideas on behalf of the CEO. He is also responsible for providing and coordinating ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and decision support. Previously, Mike was Chief Administrative Officer for Fifth Street Gaming and Chief Financial Officer of Downtown Managers, LLC responsible for the opening of Las Vegas’ Downtown Grand in 2013. Mike also successfully obtained gaming approval for street-side table games, a first in the industry.
Prior to his work with Fifth Street Gaming, Mike was Vice President of Finance for Walker Digital Table Systems responsible for investor presentations, forward-looking projections, accounting, and gaming analytics.
Mike spent the first six years of his career with MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) working in various roles in the finance department. He began as a hotel accounting manager and worked his way up the ranks to chief financial analyst.
Mike holds a Bachelor Degree’s in Economics with History and Legal Studies minors from the University of Pennsylvania.
